We The Women... IWD 2021

International Women's Day

The International Women's Day celebrated on 8th of March annually has come to mean different things to different people. Before it became known to me as IWD, it was special to me as my sibling’s birthday.

While the day has advanced the cause of women, there are still gazillion issues hanging as many continue to stigmatise or discriminate against the female gender based on culture, creed or class.

I know many women who gracefully hold up their heads but I also know and hear of many who are downcast, depressed, disillusioned, dejected and in despair because of inhumanity.

I have put forward many initiatives to raise women of strength and I have empowered many to rise from ashes of grief and grind of life. It is working! When women find healing they take on the courage to love and bless. They choose to challenge the status quo and they win!

As I celebrate women, I call on those who have been lifted by our care, counsel, consult, coordination and coaching to share their stories. One previously shared is the inspiring story of Fatima Haruna.

What positive changes would you like to see in our society related to women?

What can men do to inspire women to excel?

Thanks for sharing!

Grace Always.
