Though the programme began behind schedule, things moved once it did. This was a two day event with day one used for medical consultation, screening and giving of medications and gifts.

Praise to worship Lord God Almighty was done by a team of young adults.

Mama Akindele was thereafter ushered in with songs and she danced her way to her seat in front. Prayers was said and the emcee, a vibrant RCCG Pastor, moved us along.

Next on the agenda was the medical screening and Mama was asked to open this. She was attended to by the  medical practitioners.

The event at this point was split into two to maximise time. Those interested in learning how to make liquid soap, izal and anointing oil were asked to step outside under a tent. We were trained on how to make these three items by women who are into the trade.

Mama Akindele being someone who loves the use of natural herbs told a woman to put us through the uses and advantages of Sodom Apple, also known as ewe wara or ewe bombo.

SOME USES
1) Prevents and cures diabetes.
2) Can be used to treat pile.
3) Used to ease pain of toothache.
4) Used to treat typhoid and malaria.
5) Can be used to wash the breast of a nursing mother who is not lactating well.

This workshop session was full of opportunities to know more about how we can use natural herbs to take care of ourselves. In fact if you see Mama of 75 jumping and dancing, one will appreciate God in her life.

As the training was going on, health screening was going on simultaneously. Our team stepped in to check their blood pressure, blood sugar level as well as had opportunity to
mention areas of medical concern for which medications available were given out.

Dr. Omolola Omoteso took her counselling session one on one with some widows as testimonies about Mama went on. Many had great things to say about how Mama Deborah Akindele is a mother to many beyond biology, how accommodating and supportive she is and her strength of character which has helped her to successfully nurture her children on the path of righteousness.

Her life is full of testimonies from others that have benefited from her initiative, Widows Care. Mama gave thanks to God for all what God has done and still doing in her life. She has been a blessing to others. Another take away is the fact that she eats well, exercise well and take good care of herself including going for massage!

Be sure to positively impact people's lives; this will make our own life valuable. She is surrounded and supported by her children in all she does as they all believe in her vision.
They advised that we should endeavour to take good care of our parents when they are still around and that parents should take care of our children for our future to be meaningful.

Foodstuff pack were given out to widows and non widows present after which vote of thanks was made by Mama's daughters.

The programme was rounded up with a closing prayer.

We thank Mama Akindele, her children and all the sponsors and staff who made the programme happen. Our prayer is that their channels of blessings will never dry up.

I give glory to God Almighty for the life of BMW/WWW Dr. Omolola Omoteso of BMW/who shines the light wherever she is. We connected to Mama Deborah Akindele nee Akindayomi, first daughter of the RCCG Founder - Pastor Josiah Akindayomi, because she connected to her!

Thank you all.
