Training of Trainers & Capacity Development Workshop for Women in Media


Olakanmi Amoo-Onidundu (FISM, FIMC, CMC, MCIPM, MNITAD, MPP, arp) is the Managing Consultant for OMP Consult Ltd. He has about three decades of corporate professional experience in public and private economy sectors. His experience in the corporate boardroom spans over a decade. A versatile human resource practitioner, professional personnel psychologist, fellow of strategic management, fellow institute of management consultant, chartered management consultant, registered advertising practitioner, journalist (one-time Assistant Secretary, Oyo State NUJ) , social commentator, reconstructionist, and a life and love Coach. 

He is an alumni of global acclaimed institutions like the Cranfield University and Lagos Business School, and presently doing his doctoral study at Walden University, USA. He is an astute trainer, well sought after conference speaker, on-air personality, and a reverend gentleman.

Oluyemisi Dada-Ayodele
An award winning broadcast journalist, Yemisi works with Radio One, 103.5FM, the all News, Sports and Talk station of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Lagos Operations.

Following her Primary Education in Lagos and  Secondary School in Ado Ekiti she studied Food Food Technology to obtain HND from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti. This she garnished by later obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Food Science from Federal University of Technology, Akure. She is presently studying for a Masters degree in Human Resource Management.

After her first degree, she worked briefly with Nigeria Breweries before joining FRCN in September, 2006. Presently, she is the Governor's Office Correspondent at the State House, Alausa.

Having worked in a radio station for 11 years, I had so many trainings in Journalism which include The British Broadcast Corporation Media Action Training on Effective Participation of Electorates in Elections, The United States Consulate Training on Investigative Journalism and Effective Use of Social Media in New Journalism, Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism Training on Regulatory Electricity Manufacturer and Operations to Uncover the Inefficiency of Power Distribution Companies, the Basic and Intermediate Journalism Training from the National Broadcast Academy and the BBC Media Action SCEEP Project Training on Strengthening Citizens Engagement in Electoral Processes in Nigeria.
And 2016 and 2017 award winner as Best Reporter for her Media Station. As well as Best Supporting Producer for Youth in Governance Programme among others.








Yetunde Fashina Arebi is a print journalist with the Vanguard Media Limited, Publishers ofVanguard Newspapers. She joined Vanguard in 1991 as a Political Reporter attached to the National Republican Convention (NRC) and later, Government House, AIausa, Ikeja, Lagos. She has since risen to the rank of DeputyWoman Editor of the paper. 

As a female writer, she created The Human Angle column to pioneer the first person narrative style of story writing for Newspaper in Nigeria in June 1993. The reader participatory column focuses on true life experiences on all spheres of human life and survived 20 years. It's immense success made it a household reference point in many homes across the country. It has now been replaced with Love and Life published in the Saturday Vanguard. 

To her credit also are columns such as Weddings and Vows which was the newspaper's pioneer column on weddings in the country and opened up the vast potentials for the wedding industry. 
Behind the Scene, Lovezone, Women and Governance, Youths and Challenges of Adolescence, all published in the Vanguard Newspapers are some of her works. She is also a Youth Counsellor on career and reproductive health. 

Yetunde graduated from the Lagos State College of Education, majoring in English Language and Religious Studies. After a brief stint at teaching, she proceeded to Times Journalism Institute 
Where she obtained both the Ordinary and Higher Diplomas in Journalism. She thereafter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from the Lagos State University. 

Yetunde has participated in several seminars and workshops on youths, women and reproductive health issues. Her published books include: Youth, Sex and Wellbeing, Youth, Sex and Socially Deviant Behaviours, Egwu in the Eye of the Media and IGP Arase in the Eye of the Media.

Funmi Ajumobi is an Assistant Woman Editor with Vanguarcd Media Limited. She has degree in Bachelor of Arts in Education in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Adeyemi Campus Ondo. With her over 20 years experience with Vanguard Media, she is no doubt a highlyskilled, organised, and meticulous executive who has  With her over 20 years experience in the print media, she is no doubt has excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbal. To her credit, she organised a succesdful and the First Parenting Summit in Nigeria. She has covers United Nations General Assembly yearly on Sustainable Development Goals which the world is working on till year 2030.She currently handle  Homemakers column, Women, Politics and Development and Vanguard Kiddies Columns. 

Chiamaka Bobby-Umeano, arpa
Chiamaka is a versatile communication and media consultant who served with Taraba Telivision in Jalingo before jumpstarting her broadcast career with Minaj Broadcast International as a Television Presenter, Newscaster and US Public Affairs Section Press Corps member. She is presently an on air personality on Silverbird Television where she hosts Motivational Monday. She contributes the column "The Communicator", in Businessday Newspaper and Lagos City Herald.

Amaka was at a point the Communications Channel Manager at Wale Adenuga Productions Limited and Personnel Officer at Women Optimum Development Foundation (WODEF). She is the brain behind Connect TV show on MBI and Healthitude on Metro 97.6fm radio,  both recorded and mastered at her company, Oratorz Koncept Studios. 

She is a graduate of Mass Communications from the Institute of Management and Technology with a Post-graduate in Media and Communications from University of Leicester, UK and an alumni of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training school. She has won several awards which includes Nestle Nutrition Best Reporter Award, Red Ribbon Awards among others.

Her passion for media and education led her attend British Dyslexia Association Course on 'How to Help Children during Summer holidays'. She holds a certificate in 'Dyslexia and Foreign (English) Language Teaching', Lancaster University. She has facilitated several workshops including 'Decoding Dyslexia for Parents and Teachers at Whitedove Schools, Lekki, 'Communication skills for teachers' at Archwood school, Ajao and IWFI/LBS Executive Teachers Programme.

She has attended trainings and conferences locally and internationally. These include: Gender Mainstreaming by British Council/Women Law and Development Center, ITPAN Advanced Presentation Course, NANTAP Media Skill Enhancement course, International Center for Journalists' US Knight Fellow Training, Media Career Development Training, Commonwealth Broadcast Association Conference and Barack Obama American Corner-Women in Business and Leadership Series.  

Chiamaka anchors 'MyCommunicationCoach'/ Public Speaking Solutions project. She is the author of the book 'Sheroism... Not just a Woman' and many published articles. Her literary works are profiled in Genevieve Magazine, Nigeria's 50th Indepence edition, Vanguard Newspaper, Sun Newspaper etc. She is a registered Practitioner in Advertising. 

Lanre-Anjola Oyebode is a Broadcast Practitioner with over two decades work experience in the Nigerian media industry. She has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic.

Lanre-Anjola has worked extensively with several media organisations -Radio and TV, as a News Correspondent, Newscaster, News Producer, Script Writer, Radio Music Show Host as well as Producer/Presenter of political, entertainment, inspirational and family oriented programmes. She is presently the Executive Director of Bright Light Studios, a production company located in Lagos, Nigeria with radio and television programmes independently produced and syndicated across the country.

Bright Light Studios under Lanre-Anjola’s leadership offers consultancy services in Presentation Training, Broadcast Staff Recruitment as well as well as Electronic and Print Media Promotion. The Production outfit also organises Lifestyle and Empowerment Workshops for women from all walks of life.

When she isn’t busy writing scripts and putting finishing touches to her work, Lanre-Anjola enjoys travelling and sampling the culture and traditions of other lands and volunteers as Media Adviser to several Non-Governmental Agencies (NGOs) to draw up projects and activities to create public awareness for social and health issues such as Domestic Violence, Child Sexual Abuse, Cancer and Mental Health.

Lanre-Anjola Oyebode is married and lives in Lagos, Nigeria with her family.

Precious Enyi is a savvy media and etiquette  specialist with vast background in communications (both in pidgin and English language), Public Relations, Marketing and TV/Radio Presentation. A very creative and highly motivated speech expert, trained media spokesperson with an avant-garde perception of sustainable and effective marketing/PR content, accompanied by clientele base spreading across diverse sectors of the society.

She is a very talented, creative, innovative, focused, driven and dedicated team player with an impressive  positive attitude. She is a dogged professional to the core, people oriented, organised and a go-getter coupled with an extensive experience in the field of communications. 

Areas of expertise include media and image consultancy, public speaking and project management, radio and television news and programme presentation, marketing, public relations and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Precious is a certified etiquette consultant from the highly esteemed Association of Professions Career College, Canada.  She is an On Air Personality and Newscaster with Nigeria’s foremost radio station, Radio Nigeria (FRCN) where she began her career over a decade ago. She has produced and presented independent programmes on Nigerian Television Authority  (NTA) and Africa Independent Television (AIT) Port Harcourt. Precious is certainly a delight to be with.

Bolaji Okusaga attended Obafemi Awolowo University where he graduated in Dramatic Arts winning the prestigious Wole Soyinka Prize for the best graduating student in the department as well as the Professor Michael Crowder Award for the best graduating student in the three creative arts departments in the school. 

He had a short stint in Arts Management and Consultancy at the International Centre for the Arts under the tutelage of Ambassador Segun Olusola before his National Youth Service in the Marketing unit of the Broad Street Branch of the then Lion Bank of Nigeria. At the end of the service, he was awarded a commendation certificate in recognition of his leadership qualities.

He earned a Masters degree in Communication and Language Arts in 1998 from University of Ibadan before joining Minaj Broadcast International as a Producer/Researcher. He later joined Presentations Plusand handled as Head Strategy, the brand perception of the principal characters in the Obasanjo/Atiku 2003 Presidential Campaign.  

He joined Marina International Bank and was part of the team responsible for delivering a compelling brand proposition to drive the bank’s business strategy and was later part of the project management team that drove the merger between Access Bank, Capital Bank and Marina Bank. At end of the merger, he was appointed Head, Investor Relations in October 2005. He worked as Managing Director of the Quadrant Company, Nigeria’s leading Public Relations Consultancy. 

Working with a team of game-changers, The Quadrant Company was able to win the Award of the African PR Consultancy of the year 2012, the most prestigious international award in Public Relations by the Holmes Report / Sabre Awards – the first by a Nigerian PR Consultancy, under his charge. He recently resigned and is floating a Reputation Design Company – Precise. 
Since differentiation is key to the market success of any business, Bolaji stresses the need for the alignment of the work-place with the challenges of the market-place.  

He is a strategy and brand devotee with wide experience in the Mass-Media, Marketing, Public Relations and Banking. Dr. Omolola Omoteso-Famuyiwa
Omolola a communicator par excellence, with a knack for writing, counselling, mentoring and advocacy holds a BA (Philosophy), MA (International Affairs), MEd. (Cultural Studies), Masters in Biblical Counselling and Doctorate in Biblical Counselling. 
She is a focused, purpose driven and result oriented professional with sound leadership, management, performance driven client services, excellent presentation skills and proven ability to lead people, organise communities and coordinate events.  

She is by training a communication development expert, media specialist, versatile television and radio broadcaster, devoted child rights advocate, experienced public relations consultant, newspaper columnist, creative writer, professional counsellor, versatile public affairs analyst and exceptional teacher. Omolola has had a successful career and progressive growth in broadcast journalism, media, communication, public relations, publishing and social enterprise and she continues to translate these into notable growths within organisations and in lives. 

She has worked on a wide range of social and business development issues including providing media, logistic and consulting support to UNICEF, United States Information Section, Action Health Incorporated and Media Rights Agenda. She has managed a number of media productions, public relations projects; facilitated capacity building workshops and supervised crisis management interventions. She anchored a column in Vanguard Newspaper, wrote commemorative stories for Punch Newspaper, served as Managing Producer and Presenter for Your Right to Vote a donor funded national radio programme by MRA, Producer and Presenter for Conversations from Studio B: Breaking Boundaries Building Bridges at WOUB TV & Radio Athens OH and served as Panel Consultant for Media Rights Agenda on the Media Sustainability Index – IREX.

Omolola is the project director of Cares Global Network (CGN), executive director of Cares Media Network, editor of Willows Magazine and publisher of Eden. One of the projects carried out by her organisation is capacity building entrepreneurship training for small-scale businesses and charities. A child rights advocate and biblical counsellor, Omolola fulfills her calling through a number of missions God has committed into her hands. She works with different committees to organise empowerment events which includes Inspire to Excel; a career conference for children, DC HOMES; a summit for singles and ACE Project, now known as IFE Project, a 4-wheel programme through which many lives are empowered by the sharing of Christ, counsel and cash. 

Omolola has a passion for mentoring young people and counselling mature singles. Her hobbies include photography, cooking, hiking and travelling. She is an inspirational speaker of international repute. Her speaking engagements span across the globe; within and outside schools, churches and organisations.

Dr. Omoteso is the Host of Divine Connection (DC), a ministry to mature singles positioned to create and nurture joyful homes. She is an exceptional teacher, anointed preacher and creative writer. Omolola’s work span countries and ministries including Nigeria, USA and UK, RCCG and the Nigerian Baptist Convention where she grew up.

Her passion for politics was stirred when Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, a man of integrity for whom she has deep respect, entered the race... She set up Solidarity Action Network (SAN) to support the vision of change and good governance. With the elections won, members continue to support the vision as they position themselves for service to Nigeria and the leadership.

Hear her: "...I have been in media/pr formally for about 20 years beginning with my random NYSC posting to the 31 Field Artillery Brigade where I worked as an Assistant to the Army Public Relations Officer in 1997. Thereafter life took me to DBN Television and then to Super Screen TV where I was Head of the Programmes Department. As part of my journey, I worked as Head of Client Services and Business Development Manager with TQC, a foremost PR company. I have been fortunate to attend workshops, trainings, conferences and tours locally and globally as delegate or speaker in Nigeria, USA, Greece, Brazil, South Africa and Jerusalem to mention a few.

This workshop by leading ladies in media is to fill the dearth of well trained and qualified media women in private and public spheres. I have been running media workshops for years. I started with children; today a number of those trained have a career in media, advertising and business. I initiated and facilitated NAWOJ's first workshop as part of ACE 4.0 Project. I have done mentoring for a number of media women but now wish to start a media training that will eventually grow into a media conference for women as a catalyst to moving women up the media ladder as influencers towards fielding them in the top echelon of national and political development. I see possibilities in the coming together for a divine purpose to enable women grow impact, influence and income.
