HELP This Pako Jeep TALENT

Talent is a natural skill that when developed would in time become a treasure.

I don't know where this image emanated from; a report said Mubende, Uganda another said Nigeria... Talent, like wealth, get plenty riches (pardon my pidgin).

You may have come across a number of talents but the attention to details this young boy put in the rare display of his talent is amazing. He probably may never have rode in a jeep or held a video camera or used a desktop but he carefully put things together... I wonder how long it took him!

I call upon those in the corridors of power and purpose to locate this boy who made a jeep, desktop computer complete with keyboard and mouse mouse and something that looks very much like a Sony HD camcorder (on the jeep) with wood.

You need not uproot him from his community but PLEASE HELP THIS TALENT if you can.

We can leave him and watch as the talent ebb away into oblivion or worse still into negative ideas or we can take this ingenious gift and transform it to treasure for him, his family, his community, the nation and indeed the world.

If the international community gets to him first, you would do the boy and indeed Africa no good by uprooting him to a land of no return. Help him to become a blessing to his people and community. Folks from that community gave him the materials he needed, supported him, encouraged him and opted to put this on the world wide web, let your assistance be SELFLESS if you choose to help.

I bless the hearts of teachers and trainers who continue to encourage boys and girls like this. May your reward be great.

Blessings!

Stand up for HUMAN RIGHT

I have watched the developing story of Kim Davis and the state. The more I watched and read, the more I am shocked! The hate pouring hate by those who do not tolerate Ms. Kim Davis stance, the verbal abuse...

What law gives the judge the right to through Kim Davis in jail? Interestingly, Ms. Davis was given the BIBLE to lay her hands on to affirm her faith before the legal proceedings began? If that very BIBLE is questioned on whose authority then do you stand in your expectation of the promise to "tell the truth and nothing but the truth"? Did that end with "So help me God" or so help me state...

Kim Davis has a choice which is to resign BUT the people elected her and still want her because she provides excellent service. Her defiance means all those receiving license now have void licenses as it doesn't carry the signature of the county clerk named - Kim Davis.

She may be incarcerated but her conscience remains FREE... Would you rather be free, while your conscience is murdered by popular opinion?

Below are comments for and against... Whatever your belief, the day will come when even judge David Bunning will be judged by The Greatest Advocate.

Boxer: Mrs. Davis, being an attention craving bigot, probably did more harm to her cause than anything in the past 6 months. Her cause was a total failure. She'll go to jail, eventually lose her $80,000 a year job, garnered the hate of most of America, and did irreparable damage to her religion. Her (innocent) family will be scorned, and soon her only friends will be the bigots that she was showing off for. Not once did her imaginary friend intervene. Says a lot about religion.

Anne M: @Boxer You called Ms. Kim Davis a bigot; what makes you less of a bigot if you think you can run your mouth about someone else's religious freedom! This woman respects others but would not act contrary to her belief. The judge's ruling is a violation of her human right! One that gave you the slimmest right to run your mouth in a public place against her. Her cause is the reason why thousands across the media have responded to this post. If she has been put in jail without a public outcry, I wonder the place of justice in a country where those who go before a judge are expected to put their hand on a Bible to affirm that they will say nothing but the truth. It must be only in America that those who refuse to support popular opinion become guilty of an offence!

NoMobama: Yesterday a federal judge imprisoned Kim Davis. The judge declared that she must uphold the law. We respond by saying: What law? There is not a single law in the whole state of Kentucky that requires any public official to accommodate homosexual marriage. In fact, every law in the entire state requires that they NOT accommodate homosexual marriage.

Furthermore, there is not a single federal law within all the thousands of plethora of federal laws that requires Kentucky officials to marry homosexuals.

The truth is Kim Davis is upholding the law. She is trying to rein in the lawlessness of the federal judiciary. The Supreme Court is the anarchist here – Kim Davis is trying to restore order.

The American people have been fed a fiction – that everyone must obey the Supreme Court because of the Supremacy Clause.

When you read the Supremacy Clause however – Article 6, paragraph 2 of the U.S. Constitution – you see that the Supreme Court or federal courts are not even mentioned. Rather, what has supremacy is the U. S. Constitution itself and all laws or treaties made in accordance with the Constitution.

True federalism understands that all magistrates – whatever their level or sphere of jurisdiction – possess lawful authority. And that whenever one branch of government begins to play the tyrant – all other branches (whether federal, state, county, or local) have the duty then more than ever to uphold the Constitution and oppose that branch acting tyrannically – even if that branch is the Supreme Court.

Let us say loud and clear: The Supreme Court cannot make law. That takes legislators. Their opinion is not the ‘law of the land.’

What Kim Davis has done is not about religious liberty – it is about reining in a lawless federal judiciary.

It is now incumbent upon all other magistrates – sheriff’s, district attorneys, judges from all spheres of government, and legislators from all spheres of government – to rally around Kim Davis, interpose on her behalf, and defy a lawless federal judiciary.

It is now incumbent upon the people to rally around Kim Davis and assure her of their support – with their persons, with their finances, with their prayers. They must also prod their state and federal magistrates to interpose on her behalf and defy the lawlessness of the federal judiciary.

Kim Davis is to be commended. Precious few magistrates in our nation have decided not to pay homage to the Supreme Court. But this has been the history of Christian people. Because their fealty is to Christ first and not the State – they benefit the civil authorities and the nation as a whole.

By their refusal to comply with immoral decrees by the State, they remind the civil authority that their authority is delegated and has limits. Perhaps it will cause those acting tyrannically to recover themselves and repent. They also benefit the nation – because their obedience to Christ and subsequent suffering acts as a check against tyranny and preserves liberty and moral sanity.

Declaration of Assets by PMB and PYO Lauded by Nigerians

A statement by the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu said “the documents submitted to the CCB, which officials say are still being vetted and will soon be made public, show that prior to being sworn in on May 29, President Buhari had less than N30 million to his name. He also had only one bank account, with the Union Bank. President Buhari had no foreign account, no factory and no enterprises. He also had no registered company and no oil wells”, the statement said.
The statement further added that “the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), who had been a successful lawyer before his foray into politics declared a bank balance of about N94 million and 900,000 United States Dollars in his bank accounts”.
It added that President Buhari “had shares in Berger Paints, Union Bank and Skye Bank”.
The documents also revealed that “President Buhari had a total of five homes, and two mud houses in Daura. He had two homes in Kaduna, one each in Kano, Daura and in Abuja. One of the mud houses in Daura was inherited from his late older sister, another from his late father. He borrowed money from the old Barclays Bank to build two of his homes.
“President Buhari also has two undeveloped plots of land, one in Kano and the other in Port Harcourt. He is still trying to trace the location of the Port Harcourt land.
“In addition to the homes in Daura, he has farms, an orchard and a ranch. The total number of his holdings in the farm include 270 heads of cattle, 25 sheep, five horses, a variety of birds and a number of economic trees”.
The documents also showed that the retired General “uses a number of cars, two of which he bought from his savings and the others supplied to him by the Federal Government in his capacity as former Head of State. The rest were donated to him by well-wishers after his jeep was damaged in a Boko Haram bomb attack on his convoy in July 2014″.
The same forms, according to Mr Shehu, notes that ” Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo’s asset declaration includes his 4-bedroom residence at Victoria Garden City, Lagos and a 3-bedroom flat at 2 Mosley Road, Ikoyi. The Vice President also has a 2-bedroom flat at the popular Redemption Camp along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and a 2-bedroom mortgaged property in Bedford, England.
“Apart from his law firm, known as SimmonsCooper, the Vice-President also declared shareholding in six private companies based in Lagos, including Octogenerium Ltd., Windsor Grant Ltd., Tarapolsa, Vistorion Ltd., Aviva Ltd. and MTN Nigeria.
“His personal vehicles are one Infinity 4-Wheel Drive SUV, one Mercedes Benz and a Prado Jeep.
“As soon as the CCB is through with the process, the documents will be released to the Nigerian public and people can see for themselves,” Mr Shehu said.
According to Mr. Rahman Akanni of the Solidarity Action Network (SAN), "The assets declaration by the duo of the president and the vice-president which was just made public has confirmed their determination to lead by example and defeat the scourge of corruption which has been our bane and archilee’s heel since independence, once and for all, but which worsened during the last administration’s tour of duty.  My take on this vexatious issue all along has been that if they stopped at the Code of Conduct Bureau’s level, then, they would only have done what GEJ did, but their spokespersons insisted they would do it before their first hundred days and I can only congratulate them as they are now on the same page with the late former President Umaru Musa Yar adua as far as the issue is concerned.
A die-hard pro-PDP Nigeria, Mr. Afolabi Emmanuel had this to say, "I think am beginning to love these guys! After the speach delivered by the VP, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo at the just concluded ICAN conference in Abuja and the recently asset declaration by both the VP and the President, I am beginning to think that these guys are sincere, I just hope they will mandate the criminals hovering around them to do the same."
While the declaration is a welcome development, it must be noted that the public declaration has been made by Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr Garba Shehu ahead of the release of the verified document for viewing by the public.

On Akande and Ipaye...

Though some are now reporting the appointment of the Deputy Chief of Service - Mr. Rahman Akande and Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) - Mr. Laolu Akande as breaking news, both have been working with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in this capacity since June, 2015.

As we reliably gathered, under the present arrangement in the presidency, there would be only one presidential media and communication office but that individual appointees would be given separate responsibilities.

Mr Adeola Rahman Ipaye (born 1963) obtained a bachelor's and master's degrees in Law from the University of Lagos. He began his law career at Oditah Adebiyi & Co. in Lagos as a research coordinator before he joined the services of the University of Lagos as assistant lecturer. He rose to the position of a senior lecturer on October 1999 and later became the sub-dean of the faculty of law on October 2000.

On May 2001 he was appointed Special Assistant to Senator Bola Tinubu  on Legal Affairs and in 2003 he became the Governor's Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters. He served in that capacity for 4 years until he was appointed Special Adviser on Taxation and Revenue to the former Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Fashola, SAN.

Mr. Rahman Ipaye, the immediate past Attorney General of Lagos State, graduated with B.A. (Hons) Degree (History) in 1984; LL.B. Hons (1988) and LL.M. (1991). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators respectively. Before his appointment as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in May 2007, Mr. Ipaye was employed as a lecturer in the Department of Commercial and Industrial Law, University of Lagos (1992 to 2001); Special Assistant (Legal Matters) to the Governor of Lagos State (2001 to 2007); and Special Adviser (Taxation and Revenue) to the Governor of Lagos State and member of the State Executive Council (2007 to 2011).

In May 2001, Mr. Ipaye took a leave of absence to join the then Lagos State Governor (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) as Special Assistant on Legal Matters. No doubt his leave of absence has now been extended by virtue of the appointment as Deputy Chief of Servise.

Mr. Laolu Akande who moderated Prof. Osinbajo's USA Town Meeting covered the inauguration ceremony for his media agency, Empowered Newswire.

Mr. Akande, a pastor, was a former editor of Saturday Tribune. He cut his journalism teeth at The Guardian in 1989, and was a foundation staff of The NEWS magazine. He moved to the United States in 1997 after agents of then dictator, Sani Abacha, began harassing him over perceived critical stance of his paper (Saturday Tribune) to the administration. He graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1990 with an honours degree in History and a Masters degree in Communication/Language Arts in 1992.

According to his brief bio on the website of the Christian Association of Nigeria USA (CANUSA), a Christian organisation for which he works as executive director, Mr. Akande is regarded as “the longest serving African correspondent at the United Nations, and the only Nigerian journalist so far to have interviewed a sitting American president in the White House when he interviewed former President George W. Bush.

“He has also exclusively interviewed American folk hero, General Colin Powell, as well as billionaires like Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Donald Trump and several African leaders and presidents.”

An adjunct college professor, Mr. Akande worked with leading American newspapers including the Philadelphia Inquirer, and New York Newsday. He worked briefly at the United Nations as a press officer and later as advocacy consultant between 2002 and 2004.
